Does Stress Mess with Your Gut?

Stress is not a friend of the gut. High stress levels can lower levels of good gut bacteria, and higher levels of bacteria can increase the stress response.

Supporting the gut with foods that help feed our good gut bacteria and taking probiotics or fermented foods can help.

But at some point, looking at what is causing the stress and what you may be able to do differently is the best way to bring your stress response under control.

This is not easy – stress feels emotional and it is physical. As it continues, our body learns to rely on the stress response to function. We get more susceptible to stress and lose our stress resilience. This is a sure way to get to be burned-out faster.

I can help you dealing with stress. In my STRESS BUSTERS WORKSHOP, I will take you through a series of exercises that will help you better identify your stressors and priorities, and then develop a plan to live stress-free.

Taking control of your life is the best gift you can give yourself. Don’t feel overwhelmed by the thought of making big changes. It doesn’t have to be something major. Small changes can make a huge difference.

And this is what I do with my clients – find the best path for them to lower stress and feel back in control.

I also help my clients fortify their body so that they are able to cope with life’s stressors. This means helping with blood sugar levels, supporting the gut and helping them with any other physical issues they may have.
